Location Recommendation for new EV Charging station in Thailand

Background:
- The classroom gets support from “esri Thailand” so we can learn “ArcGIS Pro” during class. (now license expired) 😢😭😰
- Currently, I work in “Energy Absolute, EA” so this project will focus new location for EA company.
- In June 2021, total charging station in Thailand = 664 points
(EA charging = 60% of total)

- Only 1 month period, we focus on only south of Thailand because EA charging does not cover all areas yet
Concept:
- Use overlay and spatial analysis technic to screen high scoring area

- Score ranking criteria cover
- Every 100 km from Bangkok (Green circle)
- Partner
- Tourist attraction
Step of work:
- Add Tourist attraction data, Partner data, etc. Then, create blue buffer and scoring
- Overlay blue buffer, green circle, and road density in Thailand map

- Create new buffer zone by focusing only top-scoring (red color) and change other buffer zones to grey color

- Use the data visualization to rank potential areas for the next new charing with team.
- Note: data visualization is only supported information to help team make decisions easier. However, it also requires user experience (real traffic behavior), business strategy, etc.
Result:
- 5 recommended location for new EV charging station on highway area for Bangkok to Hat-Yai

After class:
- I have another problem. Arcgis license expired so I use free tool to create data visualization “Google my map”. Although, the program has some limitation but it still can fulfill our team requirement.
